Ngapali Beach is a beach located 7 kilometres (4 mi) from the town of Thandwe (Sandoway), in Rakhine State, Myanmar. It is the most famous beach in Myanmar and is a popular tourist destination. The beach stretches for 3 km (2 mi) and overlooks the Indian Ocean.

For years, Ngapali Beach has been a favourite beach destination for Myanmar citizens as well as Yangon Expatriates. With the opening of more hotels and the increase of the number of flights to Thandwe, a holiday in Myanmar can now by extended with a few days of leisure on one of the most gorgeous beaches of South-East Asia.

Note that Ngapali Beach is still to be considered a remote area. There are no medical facilities, access to this area is limited to irregular flights or an 18 hour overland drive from Yangon. There is no other entertainment in the area apart from what is offered at the hotel. Travellers are strongly recommended to bring mosquito repellent and some warm clothing, since evenings can be cold.

In winter season, there are daily flights to Ngapali Beach (Thandwe Airport). You can reach to Thandwe (Ngapali Beach) from Yangon, Heho and Bagan.

Note that most flights are operated in the late afternoon and connections to international flights from Yangon to Bangkok or other destinations are not possible. Flights to this area are only operated from 01 October 2019 to 30 April 2020.
