In this tour, you will visit the most important places in Yangon (The Commercial City) in South Myanmar, Bagan (The first Capital of the Myanmar Kingdom as well as the World’s Heritage Site), Mandalay (the last Royal Capital of Myanmar Kingdom) in Central Myanmar, Inle Lake (the 2nd largest Lake above 880 m above sea level) in the Eastern Myanmar, Shan State.
Observe the pilgrims devout in prayer or applying gold leaf to the boulder and enjoy a spectacular view of the valley below. The visit up to the Golden Rock is particularly nice at sunset or sunrise.

Arrive Yangon International Airport by morning flight. Upon arrival at Yangon Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel (Hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs). On the way to hotel, start your sightseeing with the magnificent Reclining Buddha Image at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda. Take a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall, a ‘Hamsa-bird’ shaped floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake.
After check in, start your afternoon sightseeing by driving through the colonial style building downtown, as well as Chinatown, the Indian quarter and photo stop at City Hall & the Sule Pagoda with its golden chedi – a useful landmark in downtown Yangon. In the afternoon visit Bogyoke (Scott) Market (close on Mondays and Public Holidays) to see Myanmar's wide range of handicrafts. Conclude your day with the most worthwhile visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monument, the Shwedagon Pagoda. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. After enjoying sunset from the pagoda, transfer back to your hotel. After the breakfast at hotel, transfer to Yangon Airport for the domestic flight to Bagan (approx. 0700/0820 – direct). Upon arrival, drive to Nyaung Oo and stroll through the colorful local market where you can see the trading of local people. Then sightseeing includes: Shwezigon Pagoda – the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Ananda Temple – King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple of architecture. Htilominlo Temple – he largest temples. After lunch by own account at local restaurant, transfer to hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, visit to Lacquer-ware making home cottage, Manuha Temple, Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple – known for its wall paintings depicting scenes from the Jataka and Dhamanyangyi Temple. In the evening, you can enjoy the magnificent sun-set view of Bagan from one of the hills of Bagan. Dinner with puppet show at Nandar Restaurant (by own account). Accommodation at Hotel in Bagan.
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, drive approx 50 km (1½ hours) will take you to Mount Popa, and extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirit know as “Nats” and you will have time to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. Return to Bagan by passing the palm plantation and see the toddy palm wine and candy making workshops as well as the skilful toddy-palm climber collecting the wine on top of the tree. In the late afternoon, enjoy the Sunset Boat trip on Ayeyarwaddy River. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant by own account. Accommodation at Hotel in Bagan.
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Bagan Nyaung Oo Airport for domestic flight to Mandalay (approx. 0835/0905 – direct). Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport, drive up to Sagaing Hill to enjoy the panoramic beauty of Mandalay and Irrawaddy River. Then, excursion to the former royal capital of Innwa (Ava), reached by a short boat trip. Visits by Horse Cart include Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of a palace building nicknamed the "leaning tower of Ava", Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery (Mae Nu Oak Kyaung built of brick and stucco) and Bargayar Monastery, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Lunch by own account at local restaurant.
In the evening, drive to Amarapura, the penultimate Royal Capital and lying 11 km south of Mandalay. Visit to over 160-year-old U Bein teak bridge, built in 1851 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital by staking 1060 teak posts over the wide Taungthaman Lake to connect two villages. One of the most photographed spots in Myanmar and well worth spending time walking across the bridge. Dinner by own account and accommodation at Hotel in Mandalay.
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, transfer to enjoy a boat journey on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun about 11 km (1 hour) upriver from Mandalay. Visit will start with the Mingun Bell, a magnificent sight of the world’s largest un-cracked bell weighing 90 tons, and will continue with Hsinbyume Paya as well as the unfinished Mingun Paya, built as one of the world’s largest chedis by King Bodaw Paya. Take the boat back to Mandalay. Lunch by own account at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Mandalay includes Mahamuni Pagoda with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, a visit to a craftsman’s workshop to see Kalaga tapestries being created, Golden Palace Monastery (Shwe Nandaw / Shwe Kyaung), a superb example of a traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Enjoy the sunset at Mandalay Hill. Both lunch and dinner are your own account. Accommodation at Hotel in Mandalay.
After the breakfast, transfer to Mandalay Airport for domestic flight to Heho (approx. 0840/0910 – direct). Arrive Heho Airport and transfer by car to Nyaung Shwe. A photo stop will be made at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery near Nyaung Shwe. Check into your hotel (if the room is available).
Today enjoy full day boat trip on Inle Lake – a photographer's dream, its calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop. See the lake's unique “leg rowers” – the Intha people row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar. Pass endless floating gardens, where fruit and vegetables are grown. Continue by boat to visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries on the lake. One can see ancient Buddha statues which are more than 200 years old. Lunch by own account at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State. Dinner by own account and accommodation at Hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
Breakfast at hotel. Today, enjoy another boat tour to the western shore of Inle Lake, where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the well hidden Inndein Pagoda complex. The boat takes you through a long channel where you watch the farmers cultivate their produce. This ride is one of the most scenic boat tours on Lake Inle. Continue boat trip on the Inle Lake. On the return way to Inle Lake, visit Inn Paw Khone Village to see Silk & Lotus Weaving Work Shop, Blacksmith Work Shop & Cheroot (Burmese Cigar) and Paper Work Shop. Lunch and Dinner by own account at local restaurant. Accommodation at Hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
After breakfast, leave your hotel and transfer to Heho Airport. Domestic flight to Yangon (approx. 1030/1140 – direct). You will be welcomed by our guide in the arrival lounge and proceed your overland journey to Kyaikhto (Approx: 275 miles). Continue to Kin Pun "base camp" and onward to Kyaiktiyo (the "Golden Rock"), a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun, a steep and rough 11-km dirt road leads to the upper staging point, a journey made in open trucks, which can be very crowded. On arrival, watch the beauty of a sunset at this important pilgrimage site. Lunch and Dinner by own account and accommodation at Hotel near Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock).
Remark: The open trucks operating from the base camp to the mountain top starts from 06:00 A.M. and terminates on 18:00 P.M.
After breakfast, at 0800 check out from the hotel and return back to Yangon (119 Miles ; 5/6 hours drive) via Bago. Lunch by own account can be taken at a local restaurant in Bago. Continue with sightseeing in Bago including the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which is over a thousand years old. Repaired after an earthquake in the 1930’s, the pagoda has an impressive spire, one that is even taller than that of Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda. Visit the 55-meter-long reclining Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha image, one of the country's most revered objects. Then, continue drive to Yangon, with a brief stop at Kyaik Pun Pagoda, famous for its four giant Buddha figures. Proceed to Yangon and en-route visit the Allied War Graves cemetery near Htauk Kyant (Closed at 0400 PM). Upon arrival in Yangon transfer to local restaurant for Dinner by own account. Transfer to your hotel. Accommodation at Hotel in Yangon.
After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for your International departure flight.
