Know Before You Go (Additional Info)

  • As you will be visiting religious sites, please wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees, and remember to take off your shoes and socks when entering pagoda areas.
  • Please note the Bogyoke Market and Museums are closed on Mondays and public holidays.
  • During Water Festival between 12 to 18 April, most of the restaurants, shops, markets and Museums are closed. Normal tourist sites such as Pagodas, Temples and parks are open but are very crowded. Driving through the city area and to the tourist sites will be difficult due to traffic as most of the people participate in the famous water-festival. You cannot avoid of getting wet if you get out of the car walk on the roads because everyone throws water to each other during this festival. People drive through the city in open cars and there are lots of stages shows, entertainments and funs along the roads.

Cancellation

Cancellation charges are calculated from the day the written notification is received by the clients or agent as a percentage of the net total tour price as shown, plus any surcharges (e.g. ticketed air sectors and other penalties imposed by suppliers, such as hotels):

  • Within 31-22 days prior to arrival date: 30% of package price
  • Within 21-15 days prior to arrival date: 50% of package price
  • Within 14-8 days prior to arrival date: 75% of package price
  • Within 7 days prior to arrival date: 100% of package price

Child Policy:

The price for children under 2 years old will be advised upon request when sharing the existing bedding with parents. Supplements for extra bed or baby cot may apply.

Children between 02-11 years of age at the time of travelling are granted a discount rate (mentioned in child price) when traveling with minimum 2 adults and sharing the existing bedding with parents. Supplements for extra bed or baby cot may apply.

When one adult is traveling with a child between 02-11 years old, the full charge of an adult price is applied.

Important Notes:

Hotels’ normal Check in time is 1400 hrs and Check out time is 1200 noon.

Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road and/or river conditions, flight schedules and room availability. No refund shall be made for any change during once you have started your tour in Myanmar.

Price per person based on two person tour (twin hotel room sharing basis). Larger groups will pay less per person, single person purchase will mean a higher price.

If you wish come to Myanmar during Water Festival between 12 to 18 April, tour price will change and we will let you know the extra charges.

Additional charges during Festive Season: Christmas, New Year and the Water festival period may apply.

Supplements for compulsory Gala Dinners will be advised at the time of booking.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Yangon

Arrive Yangon International Airport by morning flight. Upon arrival at Yangon Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel (Hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs). On the way to hotel, begin your sightseeing with the magnificent Reclining Buddha Image at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda. Take a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall, a ‘Hamsa-bird’ shaped floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake.
After check in, start your afternoon sightseeing by driving through the colonial style building downtown, as well as Chinatown, the Indian quarter and photo stop at City Hall & the Sule Pagoda with its golden chedi – a useful landmark in downtown Yangon. Visit Bogyoke (Scott) Market (closed on Mondays and Public Holidays) gives you the opportunity to see Myanmar's wide range of handicrafts. Conclude your day with the most worthwhile visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monument, the Shwedagon Pagoda. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. After enjoying sunset from the pagoda, transfer back to your hotel. Both lunch and dinner are your own account. Accommodation at Hotel in Yangon.

Day 2 Yangon – Bagan (By Flight) (B/-/-)

After the breakfast at hotel, transfer to Yangon Airport for the domestic flight to Bagan (approx. 0700/0820 – direct). Upon arrival, drive to Nyaung Oo and stroll through the colorful local market where you can see the trading of local people. Then sightseeing includes: Shwezigon Pagoda – the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Ananda Temple – King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple of architecture. Htilominlo Temple – the largest temples. After lunch at local restaurant (by own account), check in to the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to Lacquer-ware making home cottage, Manuha Temple, Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple – known for its wall paintings depicting scenes from the Jataka and Dhamanyangyi Temple. In the evening, you can enjoy the magnificent sun-set view of Bagan from one of the mounds of Bagan. Both lunch and dinner are your own account. Accommodation at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 3 Bagan – Mandalay – Amarapura (By Flight) (B/-/-)

After the breakfast, transfer to Bagan Airport for the domestic flight to Mandalay (approx. 0735/0810 – direct). Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport, drive to Amarapura, the penultimate Royal Capital and lying 11 km south of Mandalay. Here we visit a Monastery, where many monks live and study (photographing is not allowed) and then proceed to 150-year-old U Bein teak bridge, built in 1851 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital by staking 1060 teak posts over the wide Taungthaman Lake to connect two villages. One of the most photographed spots in Myanmar and well worth spending time walking across the bridge. Transfer to your hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, proceed a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Mandalay includes Mahamuni Pagoda with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, a visit to a craftsman’s workshop to see Kalaga tapestries being created, Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery), a superb example of a traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Concludes your tour with the visit to Mandalay Hill at Sunset to enjoy the panoramic beauty of the city. Both lunch and dinner are your own account. Accommodation at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day 4 Mandalay – Yangon Departure (By Flight) (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to Mandalay Airport for domestic flight to Yangon (approx. 1020/1225 – via Heho). Upon arrival, full day car & guide at disposal in Yangon for further sightseeing or shopping until transfer back to Yangon Airport for your latest evening departure flight or midnight flight.
