Itinerary

Yangon - Dalla - Yangon & Circular Train

At 07:45 A.M. pick up from your hotel and transfer to jetty to board the local ferry boat (10 min.) to Dalla on the other side of Yangon River. Upon arrival on the other side, Trishaw drivers are awaiting you to drive you over dusty and bumpy roads, through local villages and plantations. Visit the local market. Enjoy the scenery on the way back. This is the real local rural life, not to compare to the busy streets of Yangon on other side of the river. Return to Yangon before 12:00 noon.

Enjoy your lunch at one of the local Tea Houses, where you can enjoy variety choices of Burmese, Indian and Chinese mixed Food and you can find real Burmese tea culture.

Then, transfer to Yangon Central Railway Station to start a unique, fun and authentic experience is to take a 1 hour ride on board the circular train; this slow moving, wooden seated and always crowded train carries 15,000 to 20,000 people a day from the heart of city to the outskirts for an astonishingly cheap fare. Be prepared to be thrown into the midst of local life, chat to curious travelers and stand for some of the journey with priority given to roof high sacks of vegetables heading to local markets. As the journey takes place from station to station you have great opportunity to observe the life of Yangon suburbanites.

After riding about 1 hour, leave the train at Hledan Station where you will be lead by our guide to visit one of the local markets. You can observe the daily trading lives of the local people and their products. Return to your hotel and on the way you will also have a chance to stroll on the bank of Inya Lake (the biggest lake in Yangon). For your compliment, we will serve the fried vegetable tempura and green tea, which are the local favorite snacks at one of the local food shops on the bank of Inya Lake. Reroute to hotel.
